THE PLAN FOR THIS YEAR

As I write this article the Super Bowl is just past. Today is Valentine’s Day, Arizona’s birthday.

Last month I summed up the state of the ministry and noted:

1. We have found several eyewitness books from the late 1800s. More research is yet to be done this year.
2. We will be teaching more classes as the schedule fills in. We will provide locations and times of future classes.
3. My Facebook class Reading-Through-The-Bible in one year is progressing with friends from across the country participating. You may still follow if you would like. Call 480.833.2537 for assistance in beginning.
4. The state of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is changing quickly. We ALL Need to prepare for sharing the real Jesus with our LDS family and friends.

The first three points above are what the leadership of Concerned Christians are doing to make ourselves available to you. Point number 4 is where God needs YOU to prepare for action. Every Christian needs to be ready and able to care for our LDS friends who are facing rapid changes in their belief system.

Because the LDS system is built on ‘Continuing Revelation’, instructions from Salt Lake City headquarters will always be changing. The rapid internal changes in policy and daily practice have many of the members concerned and dismayed. Many LDS followers are confused and questioning their faith. Since Joseph Smith’s death in 1844 there has never been another time in Mormon history where Mormon faith has been shaken at the personal level.

This open opportunity is why we, at Concerned Christians, need to help you be prepared.

Most LDS faithful who are leaving the faith usually become atheist or agnostic. We want those leaving the Mormon structure to meet the REAL JESUS.

This is where you come in. We are ready to prepare groups of Christians in preparation for the onslaught of LDS who will be seeking answers, but do not know where to look. Take the time to contact the decision-makers of your congregation of small study groups and put them in touch with us for scheduling. We are ready to serve. We need your help.

Last month we inserted a quote from LDS scripture that says  “the gods organized the heavens and the earth.” The holy Bible says that God CREATED the heavens and the earth.” Can you discern the difference between those two ideas?

Lord, show me how to share truthfully and boldly the things you have taught me, but also show me how to be sensitive to my hearers, so that I don’t needlessly antagonize or alienate the very people who most need to hear your truth.
